We are looking for our next TEAM member! This position is located on-site at our Morristown, Tennessee location.

Position Summary

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst will lead TEAM corporate sourcing initiatives as it relates to developing & implementing sourcing recommendations, negotiating purchase contracts with strategic vendors, & driving continuous improvement activities to support internal & external customer initiatives. This position will act as the main liaison linking vendor relationships & negotiation to creating value through the Supply Chain. This position will work directly with new product introduction & commercial teams to support new business opportunities while also supporting the local supply chain team(s) on vendor escalation needs. This role will have direct responsibility to improve company financial performance, vendor delivery & quality performance, and inventory turn (ROI) improvement. This position will have no direct report responsibilities.

More specific duties of the role are listed below:

  • Create detailed spend profiles for raw material & indirect material sub-categories, including purchasing data, supply chain mapping, supplier volumes/capacity, product lifecycle plans, & material selection.
  • Lead creation & updates to sourcing team standard work & best practices for all TEAM locations.
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams to optimize Team Technologies’ vendor quality, risk, and cost position.
  • Support Team Technologies vendor risk assessment process across all locations.
  • Lead pricing initiatives through supply chain to drive margin improvement.
  • Manage supplier agreements & approved supplier listing for Team Technologies, Inc.
  • Support regulatory requirements & documentation for vendor network.
  • Develop market analysis for supplier consolidation and align spend profile with supplier capacity.
  • Lead vertical integration efforts across TEAM production network for supply continuity & costing leverage.
  • Review and develop negotiation strategies to drive value through supply chain, including contract negotiations for pricing, order quantities, logistics strategies.
  • Support account management & new product introduction supplier negotiations & selection to optimize total cost & drive margin improvement for new launch activities.
  • Suppliers point of contact for escalated quality, delivery, & pricing issues.
  • Lead & support continuous improvement activities throughout Team Technologies supply chain network.
  • Utilize strong data analytics for spend segmentation and reporting.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Global Controller and/or CFO.

Requirements and skills

  • Proven experience in sourcing/procurement role within a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication & negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Values teamwork and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in project management, supply chain, or engineering in a large multi-plant organization.
  • Process flow mapping & other lean skill sets.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Business Intelligence. Ability to learn company specific software programs (Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP & Manager+).
  • Proficient in data analytics & report building to accurately depict risks/opportunities to management team.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree minimum (Supply Chain/Industrial Engineering/Business Preferred) for position and 3-5 years strategic sourcing/procurement experience.
