More specifics about the role’s requirements:

The Senior HR Generalist will assist the Corporate Director of HR in managing the Tennessee HR functions regarding aspects such as employee relations, leave management, hiring and placement of team members, and verifying correct hours and wages for payroll. The role requires the candidate to possess significant leadership and human resources experience.

Specific Duties:

  • Manage recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes for new hires at the Morristown location.
  • Assist, as needed, with recruitment at other TEAM locations.
  • Maintain team member records and ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements.
  • Administer training programs for team members on various HR related topics.
  • Coordinate team member recognition programs.
  • Provides support and guidance to leadership, management, and other staff when sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Conduct investigations into team member complaints and recommend appropriate actions to address concerns.
  • Oversees disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Manage team member time off events; absences, leaves of absence, etc.
  • Researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software; excellent skills in Microsoft Excel required.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) preferred.

Education / Experience Required:

  • 5-8 years of progressive human resources experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business management, or similar discipline preferred.
